Wooden Bunny ornament
I try to find a use for as much as possible, so that I waste as little as possible. These bunnies are cut using a band saw from what would have been waste wood of other woodworkers who work on a larger scale.
Once I have cut them, I drill holes for eyes and drill a space for the ears and tail. I sand them, soften the edges, oil them and then carefully hand paint the edges of each bunny. Each one is given three or four layers of colourful paint and finished with a layer of satin toy varnish. The ears are hand cut from felt, rolled into shape and glued into place. I use mini Pom poms for the bunny tail. Lastly I use a fine paint pen to draw on the bunny nose.
