Wooden Heart Hanging Decoration

I try to find a use for as much as possible, so that I waste as little as possible. These hearts are cut using a band saw from what would have been waste wood of other woodworkers who work on a larger scale.
Once I have cut them, I sand them, soften the edges, oil them and then carefully hand paint the edges allowing the paint to roll over the just enough to create a soft outline to the profile of the heart. Each heart is given three or four layers of colourful paint and finished with a layer of satin toy varnish. I attach a small hoop and finish with the hanging ribbon.
