Wooden Standing Heart

I try to find a use for as much as possible, so that I waste as little as possible. These hearts are cut using a band saw from what would have been waste wood of other woodworkers who work on a larger scale.
Once I have cut them I sand them, soften the edges, oil them and then carefully hand paint the edges allowing the paint to roll over the just enough to create a soft outline to the face of the heart. Each heart is given three or four layers of colourful paint and finished with a layer of satin toy varnish.
These hearts are made with love so you can pass on some love and joy to those you love.
